About the Role
Role Overview
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the company's digital presence across multiple social media platforms. The role combines creativity, strategic thinking, content creation, audience engagement, and performance analysis to strengthen brand awareness, generate leads, and support business growth. The successful candidate will be passionate about digital trends and capable of translating business objectives into engaging online campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Content Management
• Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with business goals.
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X.
• Develop monthly content calendars and campaign plans.
• Ensure all content reflects the company's brand identity, tone, and messaging.
• Identify opportunities to increase audience reach, engagement, and conversions.
Content Creation & Design
• Design graphics, short videos, reels, stories, and promotional materials using Canva and other creative tools.
• Write compelling captions, headlines, and calls to action.
• Coordinate photography and video content where required.
• Monitor emerging trends and adapt content to maximise visibility.
Community Management
• Respond promptly and professionally to comments, direct messages, and enquiries.
• Foster positive relationships with followers and online communities.
• Escalate customer complaints or sensitive issues appropriately.
• Encourage audience participation through polls, competitions, and interactive campaigns.
Analytics & Reporting
• Track key performance indicators including reach, engagement, follower growth, website traffic, and lead generation.
• Prepare monthly performance reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Advertising & Lead Generation
• Assist in planning and managing paid social media campaigns.
• Generate and nurture leads through targeted campaigns.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support promotional activities and product launches.
Technology & AI Tools
• Utilise AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to support content ideation, caption writing, research, and workflow efficiency.
• Use Canva for graphic design and video editing.
• Stay informed about new digital tools and industry developments.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
Proven experience managing business social media accounts.
Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
Proficiency in Canva and major social media platforms.
Understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
Knowledge of paid advertising principles is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Creative mindset combined with commercial awareness.
Desirable / Advantageous
Experience within a professional services, finance, or advisory environment.
Basic knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles.
Experience managing TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube campaigns.
Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation and digital automation tools.
